| The Long-Range Planning Staff is responsible for the development and update of The Comprehensive Plan, including conducting planning studies with emphasis in the use of a Geographic Information System (GIS); developing and maintaining innovative programs for the general development of the County. The Long-Range-Planning staff also research, analyze and present clear and reliable information on growth trends and issues in Shelby County and administers programs for the County that protects and/or enhances the quality of life for County residents. These programs include The Shelby County Park and Recreation Grant Program, The Ambassador Grant Program, The Quality of Life (Enrichment) Grant Program, The Senior Center Match Initiative and The Shelby County Ozone Awareness Program. |
