MIDDLE ALABAMA AREA AGENCY (M4A)...
in coordination with the Alabama Department of Senior Services (ADSS), provides services to seniors 60+, including: coordination of transportation and nutrition to six local Senior Centers, home delivered meals and referral information concerning resources for older persons, based on the mission of the Older Americans Act. Other temporary services include homemaker services, caregiver respite, medication assistance and telephone reassurance programs. OWENS HOUSE, SHELBY COUNTY ADVOCACY CENTER...

SHELBY COUNTY RSVP...
provides senior volunteers 55+ for a variety of worthwhile and stimulating volunteer opportunities throughout the community. Volunteer recognition programs reward approximately 500 deserving senior volunteers annually at a Spring Banquet and Christmas party, as a thank you for many hours of volunteer work, which Shelby County could not do without.
