HEARDMONT
PARK
Shelby County
and the Shelby County Board of Education purchased the property that is now
Heardmont Park from the City of Hoover. The park was funded by a Foundation
consisting of the
County, the Shelby County Board of Education, area athletic boosters and concerned
citizens.
Shelby County coordinated construction of all permanent park amenities and structures;
athletic fields
coordinated and built by local athletic organizations, Oak Mountain Youth Baseball
and American
Soccer Club.
